Keeper of Sadness is a performance and a research archive. The Keeper, the ancestral figure projected during the show, was built from recorded interviews with more than thirty women. This site is how that archive keeps growing.
We never ask who you are
No account, no email, no name. You get a response ID instead — a short code, and the only link between you and what you wrote.
Your words are never displayed
There is no public wall of stories. Only the project team can read submissions. At most we may share aggregate patterns, like the mantras people wrote — never a story attached to a person.
They help train a trauma-informed model
Submissions are reviewed by a person, weighted, and used to tune a private language model that runs on our own infrastructure. Your text is not sent to a commercial chatbot.
What we log for safety
Date, approximate location and device signature, so we can block spam and abuse. It is kept in a separate, encrypted table from your story and is never used to identify you.

No. Every submission is anonymous by default. You only share contact details if you choose to apply for a recorded interview.
